Federal Government has announced the resumption of schools,despite the coronavirus outbreak in the country
The Minister for Health,Dr Osagie Ehanire said the resumption of school will be when government is willing to guarantee safety and preventing of COVID-19 explosion in the country.
For sometime now,Schools,religious and public gatherings were banned for two months by the federal government because of the coronavirus outbreak.
After two months of indoors, government,has now relaxes the ban on religious gatherings for at least four weeks while schools still remain closed for now.
Moreover,Dr osagie stated addressing reporters at the 100th day instructing of the presidential task force on COVID-19 in Abuja, during the weekend said no exact date has been fixed for school resumption.
Furthermore, the Minister also said government would ensure to monitor the situations in order to deciding when to schools will resume.
As stated by Ehanire,there has been no exact date on schools resumption. The presidential task force on COVID-19 are still watching the situation,taking out reviews every two to four weeks in other to assess the situation and know when it is safe for resumption.
“The Federal Government are working earnestly to balance between safety and also preventing disease explosion, and the opening of schools.
Therefore,we support schools to adopt online training and education as fast as possible.
When the details are released and the risk of transmission is curb out then, schools will resume.
