Fountain University gets new Registrar

The governing council of Fountain University under the leadership of its Chairman, Dr. AWA Ibraheem has appointed Mr. Sheriff Adenekan as the 4th substantive Registrar and Secretary to the Council of the University.

The appointment which takes immediate effect was made during the university council meeting held on Tuesday, 13 December, 2022 at the university Senate Chamber.

Adenekan, a seasoned University Administrator bagged his Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A. Hons) in 1998 from Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University) Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, and Masters of Arts in Philosophy in 2007 from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State.

He is a member of relevant professional bodies, namely; Association of Nigeria Universities Professional Administrators (ANUPA), Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM), Institute of Corporate Affairs Management, and Association of University Administrators (AUA) UK.

He started his career as a professional University Administrator in 2004 at the Olabisi Onabanjo University (Centre for Sandwich Programmes-CESAP) as an Administrative Officer before moving to Fountain University, Osogbo in 2008 as an Assistant Registrar. He rose through the ranks to the position of Deputy Registrar in 2018 and has since served in the capacity of acting Registrar since earlier this year.

Mr. Sheriff is succeeding the immediate past substantive Registrar of the school, Dr. Kikelomo W. Salle.
