
Wednesday, June 4, 2025, was a special day for one Ejali Divinefavour Ogechi, a committed ND2 SLT student of Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra state, who is currently receiving treatment at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu (Female Ward 2), as succor came her way through the benevolence of the Rector, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie.
The student was tragically injured by a hit-and-run motorcycle rider around Amaokpala area of Anambra state, before she was rushed to the Enugu hospital.
But in a show of love and support, the Rector, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie, sent a delegation led by the Dean of Student Affairs, Comrade Chibuzor Asomugha, to visit her. The team also presented a palliative package of one hundred thousand naira (₦100,000) on behalf of the institution to assist with her treatment and recovery.
During the visit, the delegation expressed their concern for her well-being and offered support in the form of a financial assistance to help with her medical expenses.
While presenting the money to the beneficiary, the Students Affairs Dean said that the gesture was to demonstrate the institution’s commitment to supporting its students in times of need and fostering a compassionate community.
He emphasized the importance of looking out for one another and wished the student a swift recovery.
