The Governing Council of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ijagun, Ogun State, has approved the appointment of Professor Adekunle Olanrewaju Adeogun as the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the university.
Professor Adeogun, who previously served as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor under the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Professor Wole Banjo, will officially assume office on 4 November 2025, following the completion of Banjo’s five-year tenure.
According to a statement from the university’s Registrar, Mr Oladapo Oke, Professor Adeogun will oversee the university’s administration pending the appointment of a substantive Vice-Chancellor.
Professor Adeogun’s Educational Background
Professor Adeogun holds:
National Certificate of Education (NCE) from the former Ogun State College of Education (1990)
Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Port Harcourt (1995)
Master of Education (M.Ed.) from Olabisi Onabanjo University (2003)
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the University of Ibadan (2008)
