Vice Principal Of Akure School Brutally Attacked For Preventing Exam Malpractice

A disturbing incident has emerged from Complete Child Development Centre in Awule, Akure, Ondo State, where the Vice Principal was reportedly brutally assaulted by thugs allegedly hired by the parent of an SSS 3 student.

The attack was said to be in retaliation for preventing the student from cheating during the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

According to eyewitness account, the Vice Principal stopped the student, Master Wisdom Elisha, from using an Android phone during the examination. Following the incident, the student’s mother allegedly threatened to kill the Vice Principal and other school officials if her son was not allowed to cheat in the upcoming Mathematics paper.

The Vice Principal is currently hospitalized and receiving treatment at St John & Mary Hospital, Odokoyi, Akure. His condition is said to be stable, though the physical and emotional toll remains significant.

This incident has sparked outrage among educators and rights advocates, who are calling for urgent intervention from authorities
