2 KWASU students found dead and naked in their hostel

Two students of the Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, identified as Tobiloba Daniel and Arewa Abayomi, were found dead and naked in a hostel room.

The deceased, both 200-level students were found in Daniel’s hostel room outside the institution campus by their colleagues who had not heard from them in three days.

According to a student who spoke to newsmen, the students are believed to be lovers and a search was launched when they did not show up for an examination. The student also added that the deceased may have died from poisoning.

While the spokesperson of KWASU, Hajia Saeedat Aliyu, said there was no official statement on the matter, a police spokesman in the state, SP Ajayi Okasanmi who confirmed the incident said the students have been taken to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) for autopsy, and investigation into the matter is ongoing.
