400-level UNICROSS student shot dead by suspected DSS official

A 400-level student of the Department of Computer Science, University of Cross River State, (UNICROSS), was allegedly shot dead by operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS).

According to reports, the student identified as Vincent Lawrence Bepeh with registration number 18/CSC/048, was allegedly gunned down by a female official of the DSS when he tried to evade an arrest at the school premises.

It was gathered that Vincent is one of the notorious gang members declared wanted by security operatives and he has been on the tracklist of security agents including the DSS.

The university’s PRO, Mr. Onen Onen confirmed the incident but said he can not ascertain if the student was killed by the DSS, adding that investigations are ongoing.
