Former head coach of Nigeria, Gernot Rohr has been shortlisted to take over the national team of Mali.
Rohr was dismissed as Super Eagles handler in November ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
The 68-year-old was replaced by Augustine Eguavoen on an interim basis.
However, the German tactician looks set to land another job on the continent.
Rohr has been linked with the vacant coaching role of the Eagles of Mali, few weeks after Mohamed Magassouba was fired.
Other coaches who are in the running for the job include former Mali international, Eric Chelle, former coach of the Malian national team, Djibril Drame and AS Otoho coach, Alou Badra Diallo.
