Lagos teacher sentenced to life imprisonment for defiling a pupil

A school teacher, Chukwu Ndubuisi, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the defilement of a six-year-old girl at Mind Builders School in Lagos. Ndubuisi who was an art teacher was arrested in June 2016, after the victim exposed him to her mother for the act.

According to court documents, the victim was discussing the viral story of a seven-year-old girl that was defiled and killed with her mum when she opened up about her experience with her class teacher and what the teacher used to do to her. She further begged her mum not to tell anyone.

The mother informed the father and the matter was then reported at the Omole Police Station where the police carried out a detailed investigation and arrested the suspect afterward.

A medical test conducted on the victim at the Ikosi Health Centre revealed that the survivor had been forcefully penetrated as she had a torn hymen and a reddish vulva.

Ndubuisi was sentence by Justice Sedoten Ogunsanya of the Ikeja High Court to life imprisonment for the crime.
