UNN student lands in the hospital after a lecturer broke her head with a stone

A 100-level student of the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu State, has been hospitalized after one of her lecturers, Mr. Ukwueze Ogochukwu allegedly broke her head with a stone.

According to reports, the lecturer from the Faculty of Humanities threw a stone at a group of students and it, unfortunately, hit the first-year student identified simply as Blessing.

It was gathered that the lecturer whose class ended at about 7:00 am, on Monday, February 13, threw the stone at the crowd of students out of annoyance when he saw them scrambling to sign his attendance sheet.

The stone hit Blessing on the head and she started bleeding profusely. She was said to have passed out momentarily and later rushed to the school’s medical center.

In one of the videos posted online, Blessing could be seen being carried away in a bike. In another video, she was laying in a hospital bed and in visible pain.

Following the incident, her colleagues stormed the admin office to stage a protest and demand the lecturer’s immediate dismissal.
